Rob Zielinski learnt to play by ear from his mentors, Mick Doherty and Sean Doherty in Perth, Western Australia.Mick came from a long line of travelling fiddle players, storytellers and tin smiths from Donegal. At age 17 Rob moved to Ireland and spent 14 years on the west coast – immersing himself in the music of the older players, including 10 years with Andy Davey, master of the Sligo style.
